DRAWING ASSIGNMENT #3

Hello everyone! Thanks again for the awesome contributions. It seems like we're starting to settle into the groove of drawing on a regular basis again. And this will definitely be reflected on your work. Week 2 is now past us and it's time for us to look ahead. Being that Comic-Con just ended and it's DC Comics 75th Anniversary, I thought we'd pay an homage to both with this weeks theme. So, this weeks assignment is no other than The Man of Steel, The Man of Tomorrow, The Last Son of Krypton, err... The Big Blue Boy Scout...

Mad Things

"What if Carol's job was to use imagination to advertise products? A Mad Thing instead of A Mad Man, could a creature made from a child's mine live in a world were profit came before people."

Oli's Wild Thing

"I tried to copy something from the book. There's a picture frame that Max drew one of the Wild Things in and I thought it would be a cool idea to replicate it with my favorite Wild Thing."

Where The Wild Things Are

"Although I read a lot and this is such a popular story you'd think I would have read the book or seen the movie, NO on both accounts. Now what I see in most pictures regarding this story is the adventure. But I kind of focused on the fact that it's his imagination. Now my understanding is the boy in the story was punished for his mischievous behavior in the wolf costume and sent to his room without dinner. Then his imagination / adventure begins! But back in reality a forgiving Mom is there with his dinner still hot. I am trying to show, the start, the middle, and the end of this story in just one picture."

DRAWING ASSIGNMENT #1

WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE

Where The Wild Things Are!

For our first drawing assignment I wanted to start with something fun that would appeal to our inner child and take us back to some of the earliest monsters that I can remember...
